According to Insurance news, the amount of people buying insurance through insurance brokers versus direct insurers has dropped to 31% in comparison to 40% in 2013. In this video I am going to talk about what we have noticed direct insurers are doing to dominate the market and what you as an insurance broker can do to strike back.
Video Notes:
0.35 – Blogging
About 65% of direct insurers are actively blogging versus only 23% of insurance brokers. What does this mean? Think of your blog as an insurance broker, educating and helping everyone that comes to your website with helpful advice, solutions and the next step around what type of insurance prospects might need based on their questions. This broker is also working 24 hours, 7 days a week. Sound like the kind of “broker” you’d want working for your business?
2.55 – Call To Actions
Call to actions tell your readers what to do next in a clear and concise way, taking out any guess work. This could include offering further helpful information, such as an eBook or guide, in exchange for their contact details, giving the prospect something of value and your business a new lead. Only 15% of direct insurers and 5% of insurance brokers use effective call to actions .
